One of the most common problems is having Second Nature World run very slow and choppy with terrible resolution. First try changing your computer's display properties to 16-bit color (anything higher or lower works poorly). You could also right-click the world and in settings/preferences fool around with the Direct 3d, Rendering and Performance options.
