Dave begins teaching in Baltimore and tries to buy a Harry Potter poster for his classroom.
Didn't win the Harry Potter poster on Ebay;it ended up going for over $20. Instead, I found a pretty cheap new Chamber of Secrets poster at posternow.com, which I thought was a lot better than Ebay or allposters.com. Andrew came down this weekend for redneck karaoke night at a local bar. Don had a wine and cheese party at his place on Saturday. Our Baltimore house halloween party is this Saturday, the 26th, from 10-2. We went on a huge shopping spree yesterday for decorations and now our house is covered in cobwebs. My roommate Mike is getting his drumset this weekend...
So now I'm addicted to Ebay. I was looking online for a Harry Potter poster for my classroom and thought, "Hey, there must be some inexpensive old-school used Sorceror's Stone posters for sale on Ebay...", so I searched. Not only did I find what I wanted...there's freakin' Japanese Harry Potter posters. But I've got 3 days left for a bid with a subway tunnel-sized poster for about $5...I'd expect some competition once it comes down to the home stretch. Still, I find myself checking the status of my bid all the time. I have no idea how the payment system works or anything, but eh, I'll worry about that if I win.
I talked to Don on the phone last weekend...he's doing well in the "phat house". My computer is still not online yet, so I can't upload the Coltrane remix yet, but it's coming. I'll let you know if I win the auction and how much I actually end up paying. Oh, and I've been listening to Owsley a lot lately for some unexplainable reason. Trout.
whassup. teaching is hard. i should finally be online this weekend; right now we only have one line working. don came up to visit me 3 weekends ago and russ visited the weekend after that. both approved of the south washington hizouse and both played guitar with me for extended periods of time. i made a remix of a john coltrane song, alabama, which i should be able to put online pretty soon. i'm also going to put up all the old tracks we did for the FInd Your Own Way Home album, just for documentation's sake (i was listening to it in the car the other day and it brought back good memories of recording in the snow at rolling hills recording studios). i also set up the commercially-poisoned nintendo virtual boy in my room and am addicted to mario clash like no other. that system did have a lot of potential, but no game developers really took advantage of it. after finally getting paid for the first time (didn't get paid during summer training), i can finally buy chips ahoy cremewiches. you'll never go back to regular chips ahoy. will write again soon...
