10.3.00 ...since this initial offering, the "Advancing Comic Technology" series have included some of my favorite comics.

10.4.00 ...it's pigeons, not doves. Trust me, I know my Woo.

10.5.00 ...would that I could write like this more often.

10.6.00

10.9.00 ...I wanted to start drawing Cameron's hat differently and worked it in with this comic. Also, being somewhat involved with graphic design in webpages opens up my eyes to some really cool layout techniques. The middle grouping of circles is definitely influenced by webdesign (probably phong, he seems to use circles a lot).

10.10.00 ...I won't give away the answer to the code, but it has something to do with Justin Pfeiffer, a UVA student council member who I've personally met twice (although I doubt he remembers it). He had recently gotten into a little trouble by calling Native Americans "savages." Gotta love student politics. Well wait, actually, no you don't.

10.17.00 (by Nathan Altice)...Nathan Altice's comic We Are Scientists! did a week of emulating the other student comic strips. I thought he did a great job nailing Second Nature: the shading, eyes, signature, and panel decoration are all right on. Popsy saying "catch phrase" is classic; that was my favorite part. It's nice to see that we don't always have to take ourselves seriously. Too bad this was his funniest comic all year...OH SNAP!

11.17.00 ...I love Plan 9 Music, but the local ad they run here is awful; all these lines except for the last one come from the ad itself. And this is the infamous comic where I drew one of my own characters wrong...Popsy's eyes are usually not connected.

11.20.00 ...I love this comic because the last panel is open for your interpretation. Is that the leaf Cameron was talking about? For me, at least, this was a turning point, very similar to Cameron walking away from Popsy's joke.

11.28.00 ...some people completely missed Popsy hiding.
